The Tyde Kyndrid are a maritime Blighted Tribe comprised of thousands of devout Kongregans and hundreds of Awakened Blighters. Several dozen large Tyde Kyndrid Kongresses are spread across the Western peninsula of Tainos Supremo. These Kongresses threaten the Malvada Armada and other Pyrate Republic vessels that circumnavigate the island.
Commanding the Tyde Kyndrid is El Casco, a Parasitic Madre Hyve embedded within a living sea hulk. El Casco communicates to its Kongresses through High Blightspeaker La Almirante, a psychic mariner that rides a throne of flesh. Together they preach the Awakened Path, while seeking to accomplish their own ambitions.
Tyde Kyndrid Kongresses are genetically and psychically compelled to raid coastal settlements, capture slaves, steal Ancestor gadgets, launch attacks on wayward Kongresses, and sacrifice themselves to create potent Seablight Entities.
Central to the Tyde Kyndrid culture is the Great Expedition, a grand coastal hunt for humans which is sparked once every seven Rotations by the Procession of the Three Tydes.
The Procession of the Three Tydes is a ritualistic festival spanning three tumultuous nights that erupts along the West Tainos Supremo shoreline and results in the spawning of a Terror of the Tydes.
Every seven Rotations, thousands of Tyde Kyndrid Kongregans flock to the sound of beating skin drums on the First Tyde. Kongregan are consumed by El Casco’s tentacled hull on the Second Tyde. Those deemed worthy by El Casco return to the world from the waves as Awakened Blighters. This event culminates with the Awakening of the Terror of the Tydes, a giganteum Apex Seablight Entity that leads El Casco’s Kongresses on the Great Expedition.
While El Casco primarily supports the Mex-Tex Madre Hyve and the Awakened Path, it is also influenced by the twisted whispers of High Blightspeaker La Almirante. As such, El Casco has begun to develop secret desires and personal goals. High Blightspeaker La Almirante has encouraged El Casco to become an energetic producer of Awakened Blighters. These zonbi are shepherded by Tyde Kyndrid Blightspeakers into blighthulks and released as a wave of hyper-warriors and twisted abominations. Awakened Blighters act as vectors of El Casco’s will.
High Blightspeaker La Almirante also seeks to achieve the Awakened Path while also extending the powers of his lesser, human role. He hopes to transform human genetics and engineer novel hybrid forms that serve both El Casco’s secret desires and his own ambitions.
