The Despertado are a feral Blighted Tribe of tough and sinister Kongregan that stubbornly thrive in the central mountains of Tainos Supremo.

Despertado Emblem

Despertado Hunting Packs are brutal raiders that prey on Pyrate Republic outposts, particularly the Malvada Armada and Yucatán Flotilla. The Despertado have a deep hatred for the Cangrejo Hybrids and regularly hunt the southern coastlines for stray Cambiaformas.

The Despertado are led by High Blightspeaker La Soucouyant, the ‘Oráculo’. La Soucouyant is said to be older than the Seablight Deluge. Her psychic powers fuse Ancient, Ancestor, and Post-Deluge Tainos Supremo cultures to create blended abominations.

La Soucouyant summons bizarre Seablight Entities from her Templo de Invocación hidden within the Sierra del Escambray. These entities defend the Madre Hyve and join Kongress hunting parties.

The Oráculo also has a gentle spirit, and will calm frenzied Blighters and offer succor and wisdom to Kongregans overcome with blood-lust or confusion.
