A Blighter is a human infected with Parasitic Seablight. The Blighter became infected through contact with a Blighter, Awakened Blighter, Wildlife, Swarm, Entity, or Madre Hyve tendril. The Blighter has hardened chitin-like skin, clawed hands, and an aggressive demeanour. The Blighter is motivated by the Psychezoa infection’s genetic instructions. It may be under Mind Control by a Madre Hyve, Blightspeaker, or Apex Seablight Being. A Blighter isolated from a Seablight Madre Hyve will begin to atrophy within a week.

POWERS

Adaptability, Extreme Environments: See page 66 of the BRP core rule book.

Blightsense: The Blighter is controlled by a parasitic Seablight Madre Hyve.

Infectious: Blighter attacks are infectious with Parasitic Psychezoa. A deep bite or tunneling of claws into flesh has a 10% chance to infect a human in a number of turns equal to their CON. If inflamed sepsis occurs around the wound, players are advised to amputate or carve out as much flesh as possible around the wound before Seablight takes hold. The infected player will be transformed into a Blighter, Low Blightspeaker, or immobile cocoon-pod.

Seablight Chitin Armour: Most slashing, crushing, impaling, and flame weapons do only half damage to Blighters. Saviour Flame, however, causes double damage.
