The residents of Nazau Island and the Habacoa Archipelago, referred to as Producers, number around 350,000 people. They are tightly ruled by the Platt family and live under a corporate paid-membership tier-based hierarchy of citizenship called the Production Club. The Production Club is comprised of descending Plattinum, Oro, Zafiro, and Bronce Producer levels. Producer Memberships are purchased for 10-year terms (discounted for children of current Production Club Members). Most NuPAC ctiziens are Bronce-tier Producers that work as labourers and mariners. The fastest way to move up the Producer tiers is by spending Plattinum Points and being nominated by five tier members. Memberships can also be earned by performing notable acts that demonstrate loyalty to NuPAC and the Platt family. Enough citizens have been awarded Club membership to inspire hope in lower ranks. Few Producers climb the full Club hierarchy.
There are around 1000 Plattinum Producers within NuPAC. From this tier, 20 are selected by the Platt family to be Directors for three years. A CEO and five Executive roles are then selected by the Primary Overseer from the Directors. A NuPAC Plattinum Producer has privileged access within the Nazau Island Member’s Club as well as closed-door Hopesail Confederacy trade port meeting halls where the ‘real’ trade deals are done. Platt family members are -with a few exceptions- Plattinum Club Members and fulfil senior NuPAC leadership positions. They collectively reside in the central Torre Tower on Nazau Island, surrounded by a moat-like lake.
In 2467 CE the Platt family is led by the young matriarch, Primary Overseer, and Hopesail Confederacy President, Consuelo II, the wealthiest person in the Northern archipelagos.
