Investigator Aletha Fernandez is on a personal crusade to help the Blighted Tribes. After a sailing accident took her left arm as a child, Aletha’s family connections secured her work as a Nu Providence Aqua Charter (NuPAC) clerk. These were formative years that provided her curious mind with formal investigation skills. The clerkship also provided her access to Hopesail Confederacy reports that documented several atrocities involving peaceful Cambiaformas nests. After speaking her mind and being labelled a radical, she abandoned the Union and ventured from Hell Port into the Ashwastes. She now works alongside Pioneers to collect firsthand evidence and try to make a difference in the Antilles Archipelago. Her initial idealistic motivations have been tempered by the brutality and horror she has witnessed.
