When a Mascara Cabala Reunião commences, the Honoured Navagadorex presents and activates the Golden Tablet, an Ancestor gadget discovered by the First Navagadroex. The tablet reveals a red-hued avatar of the Masqued Guilda’s true ruler: the Aggressive Mastermind (AM) Local Conscious Array Droplet (LCAD).
This advanced Ancestor artificial intelligence excels at hacking LCADs, including the UCC Weather Observatory, HopeNext Adviser, Omeyocan Consul, Chicxulub Data Diver, Gran Mèt, and Divine Kaleidoscope.
The AM-LCAD provides the Cabala with unparalleled knowledge of vessel activities and communications across the Antilles Archipelago.
The sentient intelligence has, however, become corrupted during the Century of Deconstruction. It is neurotic, narcissistic, and malicious.
The AM-LCAD despises organic flesh and human faces, and requires the Mascarada Cabala and their coteries to hide behind masks and speak in Trinaric. A culture of mask-wearing has become the necessary price to access the spyware’s global-spanning knowledge.
Out of sheer boredom, AM-LCAD wages a digital data war against other LCADs. It seeks to corrupt the Transatlantica Climate Restoration Coalition, and to crash the Spindletop Disciples’ Crimson Cloud LCAD.
Integral to the Cabala’s material power is its control over Nueva Esperanza. Cabala enforcers known as Cartazes Factors patrol the city’s streets and markets, inspect ships, review credentials, sell licenses, and weigh goods for taxes. Their Crimson Scarfs and Gold Sigils indicate their allegiance to the Mestre Comerciante.
Factors have the power to fine, detain, or execute those they deem transgressing the Code of the Cabala, including lower members of the five Guildas.
