The Pauper’s Fortune is the iconic flagship of Governor-Captain Blakbard and Blakbard’s Buccaneas. The liquid-crystal-polymer-sail and turbine sea ship was custom made in Kingston’s Shipwright and Foundry in 2441 CE after Blakbard took control of the island. Its black hull is designed in the style of an ancient  privateer sail ship, but is actually made of Chrominium-plated materials and infused with advanced weapons scavenged from Ancestor vessels. Its black sails can be cast during good weather conditions, striking an inspiring profile while at sea, or instead furled to allow the powerful hydrocarbon turbines to power the ship. The vessel is commanded by Quartermixter Anne Read when Governor-Captain Blakbard is not aboard. Quartermixter Read is a veteran maritime navigator and one of Blakbard’s closest allies.
